Knitted Textiles and Surface Pattern Work Placement

This work placement opportunity is very much practical based. We are looking for someone to work across a wide range of medias using a variety of techniques, requiring knowledgeable use of colour and texture.  Suitable for passionate textile lovers with a keen eye for detail!

What you'll be doing:

+Hand Embellishment

+Machine Embroidery

+Machine knitting

+Garment Construction

+Hand finishing and linking

+Reading and understanding knit patterns

You will also be offered opportunities to work with graphics and Photoshop, grading, pattern cutting and assisting with exhibitions should you choose.

 

Fashion & Textiles Work Placement

This work placement is practical based working as a design and studio assistant to head designer, Megan Crook. She will be giving one to one tutorials throughout the placement.

You may work on a variety of tasks and projects, including but not limited to:

+Pattern cutting

+Grading and tracing

+Garment production

+Illustrating

+Trend research

+Designing for upcoming collections

+Assisting with photoshoots

 

PR and Marketing Work Placement

Our PR and Marketing Work Placement is suitable for students looking to learn about the role marketing plays in a small business. Must be motivated, enthusiastic and a confident writer!

Some of the tasks for this placement might include:

+Creating blog content

+Designing and writing for social media

+Creating newsletters and press releases

+Designing online promotions

+Ecommerce website management

You will also have the opportunity to assist with exhibitions, product photography, photo editing, book keeping and admin should you choose.

+ Part-time (3-4 days PW)
+ Paid £200-£250 PCM
+ Take place in our Rainbow Studio
